In this seminar, Freeland’s Master Distiller Molly guides participants through a sensory exploration of Freeland Bourbon and discuss how to blend a perfect whiskey.

Freeland Bourbon is a blend of 3-year old bourbon, 3-year old bourbon finished in Elk Cove Pinot Noir barrels, and 12-year old bourbon. Participants taste each of the components individually to understand why the combination of the three creates a delicious, complex bourbon.

The production of Freeland Rye – from sourcing grain, mashing, fermenting, and finally, distilling – will also be covered.

The class ends with two bourbon cocktails in the beautiful Freeland tasting room.
