Remember that Maggie’s Farm Pineapple Rum that sold out the same day it was released earlier this summer? Well it’s back.
The 50/50 Pineapple is based on the same blending method as our normal “50/50” dark rum (distilled in-house from raw cane rather than molasses, our Single Barrel is a dry rum with no additional additives, aged for a minimum of two years in ex-rum casks, and bottled at 86 proof) but both components are infused in their own way with different parts of real pineapple. We soak fresh-cut pineapple meat on imported aged rum up to four weeks, while filling our still and “gin basket” with the pineapple bark to vapor infuse the essential oils from the pineapple into our own white rum. Blending these two portions equally gives the rum the full tropical character of real pineapple.
